Is it possible for someone to be diagnosed with CF much later in life? From what I have read online, most of the cases are diagnosed early and I was just wondering if anyone knew of any cases where the person was diagnosed later in life (let's say in their 30's).

There are numerous members here that were diagnosed later in life.

Very much so. Typically what I have seen is that those diagnosed later don't have the major GI issues that those diagnosed earlier present with. That doesn't mean that later diagnosed people don't have GI issues... I just haven't seen that as the normal. Plus, they usually had mild respiratory issues. Mostly things like chronic colds and sinus infections. Just a trend I've seen... nothing that should be quoted <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I guess I'm not sure if it's me being a hypochondriac or if there is real cause for concern, but I would think that the person that I am concerned about would have already been diagnosed especially being almost 35.
