Off topic but in a fun way

I was wrapping christmas presents before and I was thinking about Holiday tradations..... Christmas is my most favorite Holiday of the whole year and it is not only because of the meaning to me.. which is a celebration of Christs birth and all that that means to me but also because of the holiday tradations that I have with Christmas... and it got me thinking a nice way to share, and get to know each other even more is to share holiday tradations...

Mine don't really include my blood relatives per sa.but I do love them and spend time with them ..but I am talking about more the ppl who God gave me as my "adoptive" family.... Every year, we go on a marathon christmas shopping spree...( this year we have done it a few times already.).. and we buy for everyone on our list....and sometimes we walk out literally with a huge cart filled to the brim with gifts... then we go get food and talk about all the great deals we got...... I guess that is pre christmas but to me it is so, so much fun... it fills me with so much joy.....We have been doing this for close to 8 years now... and before that I spent many holidays feeling alone.. so that is why it has so much special meaning to me... I love to feel loved and accepted.... anyway

On Christmas morning.. I usually wake up and have time with my family in the morning.. then I am off for the day and evening to spend with my other family.... We eat the best food... we just spend time being together opening gifts and having a little wine....sometimes we watch videos and sometimes we play games...mostly we just talk and laugh... but it is the most fun ever... and that day I always feel so special and so, so loved...

Oh one last question... What did you guys ask for for you holiday?? This year I just asked everyone I know for something sentimental..... I don't need anything but I want something that means something to the ppl I love or something that reminds them of me... This way I can surround myself with it during the not so fun or easy times........I know some of you are going to be facing this holiday alone for the first time... I want you to know you will be in my thoughts and prayers.... and I pray you will hold on to the memories of your loved one and use that as your strength..

Hoping you guys are having a peaceful, healthy holiday,

Love
Jennifer

On our holiday we open all our presents up on Christmas Eve. First we go to midnight mass, then when we get home, "Santa" already came and we stay up into the wee hours of the morning opening gifts, laughing, and having fun. We sleep in in the morning, and then have a quiet day at home with our immediate family. It is a great day to forget all of our problems. I really enjoy seeing my nephew opening his presents. We also eat great food and have a great time of hanging out with each other, plus I like not getting up early.

Happy Holidays

i get up about 9ish and i either go to my parents with their presents or they come here with my presents and we open them together. last year we had a bbq breakfast but it was a little rushed so i think that is scrapped. then around 12 one of us will go pick up our gran and bring her back to the parents. then we have a big lunch. turkey, pork, ham, roast veges, pudding. most of us usually have a nap in the afternoon. sometimes we will go to the beach. at night we then have a gathering with my dads side of the family and watch them get drunk and embarass themselves.

ive got alot of clothes for xmas. since dropping all of my steroid fat things dont fit so well and are out of date anyway. also shoes, makeup and things i just cant remember.

every year (since I was about 5) I have gone with my family to a Christmas Tree farm and we cut down the Christmas tree...that's my favorite tradition - they take you out on a hay ride, the whole deal. we go to the Christmas eve church service, then open a small gift on Christmas eve. We usually sleep in on Christmas day...then have homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast (yum!) and open presents together.

I just finished finals and came home today, so tonight we finally decorated the tree which was a lot of fun. Merry Christmas!!
