Sorry guy's, i just had to vent somewhere.

I'm shaking to the core, after everything we have been through with Olivia. In and out of hospital it just never seems to end.

Last night we were gtting ready for bed and she was excited running around the lounge room. I just finished posting the stem cell topic, when i hear a bang, a loud cry and blood everywhere.

OMG, she had split her forhead so we raced to the ER, and she was given a few stitches.

I am so over hospitals, and so is she. I know its going to be a regular thing with her CF, but can't we just have a clean break for a few months.

She will be 2 in three weeks, with a scar on her forehead. *SIGH*.

Thanks for listening.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope she's doing okay, like you said going to the hospital is enough with cf let alone anything else! My thoughts and prayers are with her for a speedy recovery.

Hi Eli, craig recently split his lip, had a big bang on his forehead ( big lump) then fell and cut his cheek and eye, ALL IN THE SAME DAY. Boys will be boys eh, lol.
You got to try and remember that they are kids and kids will do this get hurt, but we know exactly how you feel, there was a time last month when in the space of a week, we had been to the health centre 5 days in a row and the hospital twice. I said to the receptionist at the doctor that I should just bring a sleeping bag with me, she said yeh yu've been in a few times this week...oh how we laughed lol

So sorry your little one had to go through this. I know how upsetting and scary this can be. My son, when he was 16 months old was jumping up and down while watching Jeopardy and the daily double came up. He fell and hit his forehead on the corner of our end table, splitting the center of his forehead open, thus requiring a trip to the ER and 5 stitches. I remember him being so brave over the whole ordeal.

That was 19 years ago. His scar is very minimal. They heal so quickly at that age.

Hope your darling will be feeling better soon. Happy pre-Birthday to her!

Ugh, we had "the snow globe incident" last December and had to take a trip to the ER. DS was holding it over his head and it broke and liquid went into his eyes. I had to hold him down in the kitchen sink and rinse out his eyes. Then I realized, the liquid smelled "funny", yet familiar. Apparently some snow globes are filled with antifreeze. So off we went to the ER, instead of getting DS ready for bed.

For future reference --- If you get snow globe liquid in your eyes -- it'll burn, just rinse it out and you'll be fine. If you ingest it --- like I made DH do --- (TASTE it, It SMELLS FUNNY), you could have problems.

BTW, after the trauma of going to the ER and we calmed down. I actually felt like a normal mom instead of mom to a cfer. That we took a "normal" trip to the er instead of a CF related one.

Hope your little one feels better.

I'm so sorry about that I glad that all is ok now. I guess parenthood is non stop worrying from day one. Hang in there.
