Just wondering if any of you work from home and what do you do? Just thinking about things I could do from home to earn some extra money while also being there to manage my daughter's illness. Currently I am an RN working per diem. Just finding it draining to go from one caring profession and then be the full time care giver to my daughter. I do not need benefits.

I work full time, but a friend of mine works once a week as a dental hygenist and her other job is a bookkeeper for a trucking/sanitation company. She does the payroll and I think the billing as well from home. She also volunteers at the elementary school, so she can be near her kids.

And I seem to recall someone else wcf worked from home doing medical transcription work.

Hi there,
I am also an RN but decided to pursue other healthcare avenues to avoid hopsital/patient exposure. Currently, I do healthcare IT, where I maintain electronic medical record (EMR) technology, train doctors/nurses on the systems, and provide consultation services to improve practice. I am able to work from home from time to time in my current job, but there are many healthcare IT companies that allow employees to work from home entirely. If you're savvy with computers, it's a good avenue for an RN to make! Good luck!

hi there. im very new here but couldnt pass up telling you what has saved my sanity. My little Delaney w cf since birth was a complete shock to us. I am a stay at home but found the company Thirty-One and it has been amazing. It is direct sales of the most adorable bags and purses! The faith based company has been a wonderful rewarding experience for me since my life was litereally flipped upside down. I became a consultant, make my own schedule and go from there. I get out of the house a few times a month (again, all on my watch...whenevver i schedule the bookings) and intereact with other women. the few hours of girl talk clears my mind and is really reassuring that I am strong enough to be doing so much of what I have to do everyday. Just like all of you. Its exhausting. Emotionally and physically. The finacial payoff is great and the incentive are awesome too.
if you want to checkout my site go to www.mythirtyone.com/69487 and see if its for you. you can msg me anytime if you think you would want to try it. its really been a lifesaver.
