I'm disappointed to see that the anonymous posting is back. I hope it's only temporary because things have been rather peaceful around here with out it.

The great thing about these forums is that we can turn the anonymous postings on or off.

The advantage of the anonymous postings is we get many people responding to messages who wouldn't if they had to sign in.

Also, we get many more messages.

I think we all know the disadvantages...they have to be closely monitored etc.

The good thing is we can turn them on for now and off if it is more advantageous to our peaceful community.

A word to the wise...

It's okay, because if it gets not peaceful again, they can just turn it back off for a while. Meanwhile, though, the purpose of this site is for support, and I think a lot of new people who need it feel more comfortable and are more likely to post without having to sign up first. =-)

i'm literally gutted that anons can post again. it has been nice here since anons were banned. apart from embarrasing questions some peeps might want to ask i just can't see why it is so hard to sign in and put a name to the words they may want to write. if you can be bothered to type why can't you be bothered to set up a user name?<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I have always thought it was bad to allow
anonymous posting, didn't that cause
a lot of crap a while back ?

Just not a good thing, others may feel different
about this subject, and thats fine too.
