Carli takes Prevacid every morning...and i notice that if she forgets to take it she is gassier......we also add extra enzymes to things with high fat content or that are greasy.....(ie pizza...ice cream...her favorite white chocolate mocha iced from starbucks....lol...)She may just need to be put on prevacid, or some form of antacid...

Thank you everyone for your input re. the acid meds. I appreciate it so much and it will go on my list for her next clinic appt. (Oh and Christy, Emily would love to share that iced white chocolate mocha with Carli! )

How scary, Val, to discover Noah was aspirating. I am so glad taking the Prevacid has been able to help him.

As a baby Emily threw up ALL the time; she couldn't sleep flat on her back since I'd so often find her covered in vomit; she also threw up every time she pooped throughout babyhood (EVERY time... has anyone ever heard of this/had babies who did this?) I never thought reflux since she wasn't a screamer. Then again, I also never suspected digestive issues of any kind until years later, either. So there is much I know we'll never be sure of since her dx came so late.

I try to make sure we always have her enzymes with us, but that just had to be the day I was traveling 'light'; wallet in one pocket and cell phone in another and we decided to eat out on that very same day. Won't be making *that* mistake again any time soon, I hope! I kept the sample bottles they gave us when she was dx'ed to be able to refill as needed so I could keep them on hand in my bag; then at the CF conference I was just at the Creon rep was passing out nice FLAT cases that hold about 15 pills- they are perfect for your pocket. Could have used one of those that night out.
