Okay, going away for the weekend and picked up a deep fryer to boil nebulizer cups. Any tips or suggestions. L

Use Sargento Italian style bread crumbs, always makes fried
stuff taste better.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

It's got a temperature setting and I think a timer. Just didn't want to set it too high and "fry" the pari neb cups. I'm always accused of taking along everything but the kitchen sink when we travel, but at least I'm prepared.

I used to actually just use disposable nebs whenever I travelled, because my company allows me to expense them. Last time I travelled, I arranged in advance with the concierge to have a microwave in the room and boiled them in the microwave because I was worried that the disposable nebs weren't approved for my drugs.

Expensing disposable nebs seems like a reasonable thing to me. You might want to ask

I got a supply of nebs last year at the clinic and have bought some online, too. I KNOW I can use the paris with DS's pulmonzyme and tobi, not so sure with the disposable ones I've been given.

Tested out the deep fryer over the noon hour. Seems to work pretty slick. Amy, anything I should worry about when using it --- I won't set off alarms at a hotel with it from the steam will I? <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

should be a problem. i haven't set off any alarms myself yet <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

just like you said - don't boil for too long. 10 minutes is good. and make sure the temp is set for boil (100 degrees C).

you are right about disposable nebs. some aren't approved for TOBI or pulmozyme. and PARI's are much less wasteful of meds than disposable. so you're doing the right thing.

DH saw it and now thinks we need to buy another one to make donuts. As if WE need any deep fried food in our house. I think I tested it at 225, which is around 105 C. Good luck tomorrow, Amy!
