Yeah, I agree. There was an overweight girl that sat behind me in homeroom in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. She would constantly comment on how thin I was, and would say "Oh My God, You are SOO Skinny," etc... One day, after hearing her commenting on my "eating disorder" for years, I turned around and asked her why she was so "big." She didn't say anything else to me after that. And no, I didn't feel bad about being mean back, either. I think it works both ways.

I have had many ppl comment me on how I look pregnant, then the next place I go to ppl are like oh my your so skinny. But just as a funny note, I'm in the hospital right now and I am really swollen all over. Still trying to figure out why but thats besides the point. Today my doctor comes in and says "so are you having a double or a single?" I know he was just joking, so I just looked at him and said I'm glad your a doctor and not a comidian cause that wasn't very funny. Then we just laughed. Ha just thought I would share. =)

It's so funny you just posted this. I get bloated like crazy all
the time. I am on medication for it cause I kept bugging my doctors
to take me seriously (no one, I mean no one, would believe me when
I told them I got bloated). I take a pill called Modulon a half an
hour before I eat. It has worked for the last 3-4 years. I'm
noticing it's not working so great now and I was in Home Depot the
other day and was really bloated, so I just decided to not suck in
and let it out. I was wondering if anyone would ask me if I was
pregnant, and if they had I would have just went along with it. So
much easier than trying to stand there and suck in. I get pretty
bad and it does not matter what I eat. <span style=
" text-decoration: underline;">Anything will make me
bloat.<br>
<br>
To get the medication for it I had an endoscopy (I guess that's
what it's called - where they send the tube up your bum). They
tried a few different meds before we found one that worked. Trust
me, the invasion up your poop shoop is worth it.  <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Hi 38 yrs young with CF and CFRD. I have had the bloating thing for as long as I can remember....forever!!! I get to the point where I too look like I'm about to give birth, this is an everyday thing for me. The only time I look somewhat "normal" is first thing in the morning and once I eat...there I go...instant bloat. Sometimes it gets to the point where it is sooooooo uncomfortable that it hurts to breath and or I can't get comfortable. My CF docs don't know why or what causes it so day after day I look like I'm about to give birth. I have always been like this and now I'm used to it so I feel your "pain"...No pun intended LOL
If ya find something that helps pls share the wealth....

I believe it works both ways too. I am so sick and tired of people commenting on how skinny I am, I must not eat, do I have an eating disorder, people grabbing my arms and saying that I need to put on weight, etc. You don't see people going around poking fingers at big people saying 'OMG you're so fat, you need to lose weight!". It really does work both ways.

I do get bloated as well, sorry that happened. Open mouth insert foot. I do have to say that I hate when people comment on how much I can eat and how skinny I am and then I say well it is because of my CF and they say well I'll trade you. Really, come on lets trade. Annoying!
