I was told by the doc to not take my NAC and other meds until I finish a week (5 days in "Clinic" terms) of antibiotics he gave me last night.

I had been fighting a sinus infection (I can tell when one comes on) for over a week and was really too busy to get away from work early enough to make it to the clinic.

I finally went yesterday (Monday for me) and was still late (I get charged extra when its after regular clinic hours).

I said "F-it" about the extra charge because I had to see him...figured it can't be helped with my "profession".

So, I told him all my troubles, he looked at my throat, listened to my lungs and watched the meter spin real fast when I got on his scale

I was sent home with a small bag of meds, but it was confusing to take them cause it was "one of these, two of these, this only at night"--oops! Just realized I took the night med this morning--no wonder I feel so drowsy still LOL!

Anyway, this wasn't something I thought as pertinent to put in a blog, but not a question for the forum but any comments are welcome as to who else has had sinus issues lately.

I'll probably be missing my NAC cause I was out of it for a week as well...so it'll be two weeks without...Oh, My!

Do you do saline sinus rinses? Might be a good idea to help clear out all that gunk! For sinus pressure, headaches I wash my face with Doctor Bronner's peppermint castile soap & soak in the tub with a wash cloth over my face, sometimes put origins peace of mind (peppermint) lotion on my forehead or bridge of my nose. Not sure if you have something similar where you're at, but seems to be soothing along with prescription and otc meds.

Hope you feel better soon!

yep, more than one new med at a time can get confusing. Liza's advice about sinus rinses sounds good to me. I usually do them here and there but if i get a sinus infection i do it a few times a day to help clear out whats in there. I hope you feel better soon
