im only fifteen years old boy living in Oregon. One of my friends on my website has CF. And i will be talking to my high school about doing a fundraiser. If we get enough money, i will dye my hair pink and wear a dress for a week. Im doing this not just for her but for all of you families too. I feel as if something should be done. I pray for everyone because i just feel like i should help. Everyone should live a right perfect life. I will die trying to help the CF even if I've only heard of this disease only once. Add me as a friend.

Thank you. Every bit helps. The really difficult thing about this disease is that there is no government or drug funding for a cure since it is not worth it for them, economically speaking. But, on the other hand, nothing at all is wrong with the person with CF other than that sodium and salt don't pass through a cell correctly. It seems like such a small thing to fix, but there is no cure. And it makes a person's life much shorter and more painful, without a cure. If you want to raise money and help-- well all the power to you. We are also new to this. It's been just one year for us. It's been more difficult than I would have ever expected. I'm glad you are compasionate enough to care, and more than that, to actually do something!

Here is our video of the past year (but it doesn't even include the month of hospitalizations in Feb-Mar.) You may have to cut and paste to view it. There are a few photos from the hosptial, so be warned (it's not pretty!)

Thank you so much for raising money for the CF Foundation and research for a cure. I have a suggestion that you dye your hair purple instead, that is our awareness color. Maybe you could post the story/poem of 65 Roses around your school. You can find it online I'm sure.

You can talk about how many of us will need to make the decision of getting a lung transplant and that might help with organ donation awareness too.

You are a great person for helping donate and wanting to help us with CF! Thank you!

anytime i can help others. I pray that every time i breathe, it makes a person that has CF stronger. Every time i eat, and wake up, half my strength and energy goes to a family with CF.

Thank you for your effort and prayers.
At 15, it is great that you are taking initiative to help with a cause that most people don't know exists.
You have an opportunity to educate a large group of people that can go out and educate other people.

You sound like a very cool guy. Hope the newspaper shows up to help promote awareness. Be sure to post your video(s) experience(s)during the "dress" days. Thanks for showing such youthful initiative.
