Thanks everyone. Buckeye, I did some reading and it said that CP or CP symptoms are likely. One of my best friends has CP (wheel chair bound, problems with motor skills) but completely independent and works outside the home, etc. He is in his late 40's. So I'll be optimisic that perhaps the baby will be high-functioning like him. Waiting is just so hard.
I guess with CF we're lucky because we kind of know what to expect (well, except for the bumps in the road). Where as, with this baby, we just have to wait and see. I'll be anxious to see what part of the brain was affected and what to expect.
Thanks again for your posts and insight, it is truly appreciated!!!! I keep looking for anything to help me educate myself.

Hey Everyone,
The baby is slowing being able to take a bottle....just a little bit. The nurses have to feed to her watch her breathing and swallowing to make sure all is ok. She is having some 'normal' baby movement (arms, etc).
They say she will have problems in the future but not sure what at this point.

Thanks again for everything!!!

A lady I used to work with had a baby girl about 1 1/2 ago that had a stroke in the womb or during delivery. 6 days afetr she was born she started having seizures and thats how they figured out that she had had the stroke. Since then the baby is doing wonderful! She is the happiest kid you will ever meet, soooooo friednly and cute. She was able to wean off the seizure meds at like maybe 6 months old, but then had to go back on them a few months ago, but is now off of them again. They think it was probably b/c she was growing so her body needed help adjusting. The only problem I can remember her having is the way they needed to feed her. B/c one side of her body was affected more, when you were bottle feeding her, she had to face that way in order for those muscles to become stronger. She is a perfectly happy and lovely 1 1/2 year old now with no effects. I mean who knows what could happen, but I think her outlook is pretty good.

I will keep praying for this baby! <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">
