OT - Thought He Outgrew This

I was a very vigilant mom and my oldest son had to escape to public school before he could complete his lifelong quest to eat gravel. (His attempts began when he was less than a year old.) I didn't know about the incident when he succeeded. He told me this many years later. And told me "it came out the other end very painfully, so I never did that again".

I still sometimes don't know how he survived his early years.

LOL as only a mother who has had to have the ER doctor remove a popcorn kernel from her sons' ear can. He was almost 5 at the time if it makes you feel any better.

Took him to an ENT this morning, who it seemed didn't believe me at first. Doctors! Took a look with a microscope and pulled out a pebble along with a lot of wax, which is probably when kept it from going any further.

And DS didn't seem to have any trauma, in fact mentioned it was kinda fun. Ugh! Was hoping this would dissuade him from doing anything like this in the future.
