Hi girls,

Just to let you all know our baby Eva was born on Thurs 24th at 11.14am weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces. She was 38+3 - I was induced cos my liver function was abnormal and they suspected obstetric choliectesis (not sure of spelling!).
We just got home yesterday as she developed a bit of jaundice but is much brighter now. She is beautiful and it's great to be home.
The birth went ok - there was some drama at the end - I needed some help with the pushing so she was a ventuese delivery but her shoulder got stuck so it was all hands on deck for a couple of mins but she got out safe and sound and was on my chest within a couple of mins.
I am pretty sore due to the stiches required but otherwise doing well despite the sleep deprivation.

Hopefully will post some pics soon. So happy and relieved that she is here and safe and beautiful.

Best of luck to Caroline and Leah and anyone else due soon,

Elizab xxx

Congrats!!!! So excited to hear she is home safe and sound. I remember you were worried about her growth but she's a very healthy size, especially for 2 weeks early (a full lb bigger than my son was at 40 weeks!). Enjoy your little one - and post some pics please!!

Hooray! Too bad about the cholestasis and the stuck shoulder, but you both got through it! My son was born with the vacuum assistance. I always thought the first week was the hardest with the sleep deprivation, so hopefully it will continue to get better in the next few days. Rest when you can and ask for help a lot Glad you're home safe and sound with your little Eva. Can't wait to see pics.
