Yes, both of my girls have asked me the same questions. When they were a little younger, they had assumed that since I didn't have to take enzymes, nor daddy, nor any other adults they know, that they wouldn't either. They would always say things like, 'when I grow up, I won't have CF'.
It is heartbreaking, but you just answer them the best you can.
