Also, I just want to say that in the event that you DO need to go on O2 at night, doesn't necissarily mean that your condition is getting worse. </end quote></div>

That's a good point, and an encouraging one. I know for me when I was being evaluated for oxygen use I though "Oh no. It's official, I'm not going to live to see 40."

Now I know better. I have a pulse oximeter of my own, and I check at random times during the day. About a month ago I was always around 92, 93. For the last week or so I'm back up to 97, 98. I think there's a placebo effect that happens when we see our sats. It can drive a person batty!

Your body will definately let you know when it's time to look into O2. I went through a 2 week period of chronic fatigue. It was horrible and when i got assessed for with an overnight O2 test it showed i needed it. I even had to go to a sleep lab to rule out Sleep Apnea.

I hope this helps some!</end quote></div>

Did you wake up tired or get tired late in the day? Lately I seem to hit a wall in the afternoon. Since I started IV's though I haven't had the problem nearly as bad. A short nap seems to help.

OMG YES - and STILL. I am good for about 5-6 hours after i wake up and then it hits me, really suddenly. Know that going on O2 ISN'T a cure and WILL NOT take your tiredness away. Depending on how bad your O2 level is WITHOUT oxygen will greatly determine how you will feel with it.

W/o it, my sats are 83-85%, on it's supposed to be 92%.

Hi guys. Thanks for your replies and sorry it took me so long to post an update. Every time I tried, something else just got in the way. I finally tracked the doctor down and was told I need another home test. I had this last night - not sure it went very well because it was very hot and I think I wriggled all night...I don't remember sleeping much anyway! The machine is getting picked up in the next hour and I should know the results this afternoon all being well. I was told if this one looks odd I will have to go for an overnight test where I can have my 02, CO2 etc all monitored more accurately - plus it will be supervised so there would be a better record of whether the results were due to wriggling. The doctor said he didn't want to be too specific about the results knowing that I would probably worry - and probably unnecessarily. So I should know more in the next day or so anyway. I will let you know when I find out. Thanks for your help. Jx
