So my uncle's had this terrible snoring problem his whole life. He finally did a sleep study and found that he was seriously desatting during his sleep cycle (dropped into the 80s). The past few years, he's been having a lot of memory troubles too (he's in his 70s though, so that might just be normal). At any rate, this got me thinking.
I've been having short term memory problems more and more it seems. I'm not on O2 and when I go to clinic, on room air I'm usually satting between 96 and 98 %. But I wonder how low I drop when I sleep. I also know I'm dropping when I exercise but I don't know how much. With an FEV1 of only 35%, should I be concerned about my oxygen levels and do you guys think this could be a contributing factor to the memory problems?
