Oxygen and Memory

Yup yup! I had a horrible experience with that right before i went on O2. I owuld have times when i would drive to work, get there, and not remember how i got there at all. I knew i drove, but i couldn't remember anything from the drive itself.

Also to second Lindsey with the consentrating/comprehending. Definately true! I had trouble really 'getting' things at work esepcially. There is definately a correlation. I just felt so out of it right around the time i needed it most.

Update - I asked my doc about this and we did a mini-experiment. We walked down the hall at my hospital and up a ramp that was the equivalent of just one flight of stairs and my heart rate increased to 144 and my O2 dropped to 85!! We're going to set me up for home O2 for use while exercising and maybe for sleep too.

Back in December when I coded, my sats were low for a long enough period of time that I experienced a frightening amount of memory loss. Upon returning home from the hospital I was devastated to find that I couldn't remember how to play some piano pieces that I had known backwards and forwards for years. Eventually as I practiced each day, I was able to regain some of what I had lost (or maybe just relearned the music) but I know I'm not as sharp as I once was on the piano. I've been playing for 20 years, so that was rough on me, emotionally.
