The problem with long hoses is that they have resistance in them, and that cuts down on the oxygen flow. Think of a really long garden hose - by the time you drag it clear across the yard, there isn't the flow out of it that you had back at the tap, is there? Resistance to flow in the hose itself cuts it down. Put two hoses together, and the water barely dribbles out.

<br />Check your sat level with an oximeter when wearing the cannula, and then again with a shorter cannula and a tank. You may well not be getting enough. You might be better to have small O2 tanks placed strategically around the house that you can hook a short cannula to instead of a huge snake running from a concentrator a long ways away.
