Pain in lower back, what's wrong with me???

I AGREE W/ SALLY. IT SOUNDS LIKE KIDNEY STONES. I HAVE HAD 3 AND THE BACK PAIN IS QUITE SEVERE. I ALSO WORK IN A UROLOGY OFFICE AND THESE ARE ALL SYMPTOMS OF A STONE. SO IF THE PAIN DOES NOT GO AWAY YOU MAY NEED TO HAVE A STUDY TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON. I HOPE ALL GOES WELL FOR YOU.

I had this pain a couple of months ago where I could barely move and was so nauseous. I was convinced it was kidney stones and my doctor told me it was. It was only after the pain didn't go away with any medicine that I went to a doctor and they said it was not stones (or else I had already passed one) because there was no blood in my urine.

The pain eventually went away and I never knew what it was. It wan't a muscle because nothing helped it. The only thing that helped was drinking A TON of water.

I hope you feel better and don't worry. If they found no blood it most likely isn't kidney related

Chantelfox, have you ever been checked for OBSTIPATION?????? Just in case you don't know what that is. It is basically constipation except for cf obstructed bowel problems. This may sound kinda gross, but hay cf is a nasty killer of a disease. Anyway, Are you going u know number 2 regularly? Sometimes if you haven't gone in a couple of days for some people time varies. You can vomit what your body refuses to pass the downward spiral. Have you had your colon checked out. Our digestive system is very tempermental. Because of our weird diet for our disease we sometimes have to deal ok wait most of, wait oh ok alot of the time we have to deal with adhesions and ulcers and u know the whole pancreas problems. Our high fat, high calorie diet or searching for the right diet to meet our specified needs can sometimes have our bowel taking a ride on the boardwalk. LOL. Anyway obstipation can cause that kidney area to hurt really bad out of nowhere and severe stomach pain stretching all the way around to our backs. I don't know if that is what you have, but I had to get two barren, or barrem enemas. To deal with my colon because it was stretching and swelling to accommodate the extra stuffing. I hope that maybe this was helpful. I pray that U find out what it is.

I just wanted to throw in that having a kidney infection is a LONG way from kidney failure. Again to repeat, drink water and cranberry juice, don'd drink sodas etc. for a couple of days.
