After seeing someone post about sweat tests being painful, I have to ask, has anyone had any problems with their children complaining that the sweat test was painful? DS cried during his sweat test. He chose to have his right arm tested first (he calls it his "strong arm"), which he said ouch over and over again during. When they did his left arm, he cried the entire 5 minutes the electrodes were on his arm, saying it hurt. They also weren't able to get much sweat from him, and his left arm was completely inconclusive. I was wondering if anyone knows if this may indicate that the test was done improperly or could be invalid? DS is getting ready to get a CT scan of his lungs and sinuses at which time we are going to discuss further CF testing. I'm going to request the Ambry genetic testing, but I'm worried they'll ask him to take another sweat test as well. I really don't want to put him through it again. Thanks.
