Panic Attacks???

My mom had panic and anxiety disorder and she did the same that the previous poster talked about with the rocking back and forth, pulling her hair, and just freaking out. It was very scary to watch. She went on medication and then got addicted to the meds and that was very very bad. When she was detoxed of the meds she learned breathing exercises and did that and it worked so much more. Now she doesn't have them nearly as much. So I would reccommend breathing exercises, they seem to work more.

But if you are looking for cute animals go to www.cuteoverload.com.....such a cute site, I check it daily

Good luck and I hope you find what works for you

I've had anxiety attacks for years and been on meds, but the last few weeks I see a counselor also. But that does sound very similar to how I feel, hot and red, upset stomach, nervous as hell, sweaty palms, and sometimes that surreal feeling. I really hate that when you know your face is beet red and it feels like its on fire (my ears too). Thats the worst part to me because everyone can see it. I wish they had a med just for that.

I used to have them frequently- I still do but they are far and few between now. But, they were similar to what you described, esp the hot feeling and the out of body feeling. I felt like I was watching my life as a movie, like I was standing above myself watching. I know, sounds wierd-but its hard to describe. The problem is, it could be several things, I even thought of sugar problems- How's your blood sugar? I thought I had another terrible health problem. I had sugar tests, heart tests. Then i was brave enough to tell my psychaitrist about it, and he hit the nail on the head.
I hope you have solution, and too-one or two attacks is maybe livable with, but if they persist please seek help. You don't have to live with them and that problem can worsen if untreated. You don't want to end up with a social disorder or anything. I don't mean at all to sound scary or preachy, but I denied it so long, I woke up one day and realized I had social probelms b/c of it.
