Papa John's ***UPDATE***

I wanted you all to know a couple of things:

1) Without a doubt, our CF family is the most passionate group that I have ever known. Rich Butler, Director of Operations for Papa John's received over 6000 emails from individuals around America. Papa knows the passion is real. Some of you simply emailed your city/state and requested to be able to use the CURECF code. Others wrote gut-wrenching letters that touched Mr. Butler and immediately seized his attention. Whichever method you used, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

2) On Tuesday of next week, Papa John's Executives will listen to a presentation by Mr. Butler. In that presentation, he will lay the ground work for a national agreement between Papa John's and the CF Foundation. He will use your emails to make the compelling argument for expansion. The data supports a national deal. Our Julie's Dream Team, while 1700 strong on facebook relied on 10% of the group to make the sales numbers dance on the page! 10% of JDT lives in the Louisville and Lexington, KY area. Only 4 of the 170 JDT members have CF. The rest, simply love those 4 CF'ers and want a cure.

From my team to yours, I thank you for your continued passion in finding a cure. Please know, that my Julie's dream for a cure is not something I will ever take lightly. If you'd like to join our group on FaceBook, please do so. The larger our group gets, the more attention is placed on CF by corporate America.

Pray for Mr. Butler as he presents an agreement that could lead to millions for the CF Foundation to get that cure that we all so desperately want.

Wow, I just read this and it's awesome news! Is it possible to use the code now in Kentucky? We actually attend the clinic in Lexington. I'd love some more information on this so that I can share it with my friends and family. Praying for a great outcome with this!

Mr. Bulter met with top executives of Papa John's. They want to have a national agreement with the CF Foundation. The issue????

Currently, if you placed an order online for Papa John's in....let's say....anywhere USA and used the CURECF promo code, Papa John's pays a knucklehead in Louisville, KY to search EACH of the 4800 stores across the nation for our promo code. He must total up each order, at each store. Tally the amount and then determine what 20% of each CURECF code.

I'm at a loss. You would think that the #3 pizza chain in the world would have better technology. They don't.

So......................(and this is a credit to the passion that we have to find a cure).......Papa John's will spend millions to update their system. When that occurs, they have asked Julie's Dream Team.....I'll say that again....they asked us to do a national deal.

I'm frustrated that we've spent the last 4 months trying to pull this deal together but it is what it is. Until the day comes that they can make a national agreement happen, they are advertising in the Louisville and Lexington market and will have a presence at our Great Strides Walk on May 21, 2011. They want people to know that they will give 20% to the CF Foundation. I'm not giving up on this company but I'm a bit perplexed that a major corporation would have such an antiquated system.

I'll let our CF community know when they're ready to roll. Until then...we'll keep pushing forward. God Bless.
