Pari Compressor/Nebulizer

We have a Pari compressor for our 18 month old. About 6 months ago it started to "act up". Meaning that it would take about 5-10 minutes to get warmed up before enough air would come through the nebulizer to adminster the medicine. It was very aggravating. So we called Pari and sent it back and they sent us a new one. Well, now its happening again! I have a back up compressor that I can use, but I was told the Pari was better because it gives out a finer mist of meds. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this kind of trouble with their Pari? Should I get a different brand?

We've had similar issues and last time I called and they overnighted one to us. The Pari does have a 5 year warranty, so I figure I'll keep calling them and exchanging them.

We also have a devilbiss pulmoaide with a similar warranty and those have been lasting us about 2 years; however, their policy is to have the DME (Durable Medical Equipment) provider send in the machine. So it takes about 3 weeks to get the replacement machine. Fortunately we do have a backup machine -- a 19 year old Devilbiss a DH's cousin gave use.

I know others have similar issues, some have switched to different brands -- Mobilaire is one, but I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger on that one being it hasn't been all that difficult exchanging the machines.

Not this time, but I will. The last time this happened, we ordered a new filter and replaced it even though it didn't look grey or old or however its suppose to look when it needs replacing!

We've had the same problem. I think we went through three PARIs in 3 years. Now we have an INVACARE MobileAire Compressor. Wow, what a difference. It is so much more powerful than the PARI. I had to search and search to find a DME provider who would supply one for us. Apparently they are very expensive and most insurance companies will only reimburse for half of the actual cost. I know that sounds strange, but that is what the provider told me. We've had it since February and it hasn't slowed down yet.

Good Luck

Look on the bottom for a Ph number , the will replace
it for up to 5 yr.
They have been having a lot of issues, Low flow, takes a long time
to build pressure ect.. I went thru 2 in 4 months.
They replaced them, But I went back to my old
Pulma aides. I have the big Flat fronted ones.

The Pari Lc plus Neb Cups work great. thats all I use.
