Ugh, DS' pari compressor started making noises like the fan was sticking. It now sounds like a helicopter taking off. I thought it was the movie we were watching last night during vesty. I just checked my emails from the last time we sent the pari in for warranty work and it was less than 8 months ago. Sigh!

So sorry you are having so much trouble with your Pari. We have owned 7 Pari compressors and are on our 8th over the last 20 yrs and have never had a problem. The one none Pari we owned crapped out after 1.5 yrs, this is how we came about our 8th. We've owned the Duraneb 2000 & 3000, Turbo Boy (European), 2 of the sport ones, 2 Turbos & now a Vios. The sport ones did only last about 3 yrs though. I think you must have gotten a lemon. Can you ask for a replacement through your ins. since you can not be without?

Usually they've been lasting about 2 years. Except our first pari proneb was a lemon from day 1. We have a devilbiss as well that seems to become faulty after two years as well. That company requires we go thru our DME, which takes about 3 weeks. Pari allows us to send them back, but it's also about a two week wait.

They all have 5 year warranties, but it's just a pain to have to ship them back and wait. They get a lot of use -- treatments 3 times a day -- duoneb, tobi and pulmozyme. Just hoped this one would last a bit longer.

We have a devilbiss pulmoaid which is a spare and is about 20 years old. Got it from DH's cousin and it works like a charm.

Good Luck with the PRo Neb.
They have a 5 yr warranty and will replace them.

Mine Both after 2 months started to slow and took
5 mins to build up pressure enough to make a Mist.

After the 2nd i just tossed it and went back to
to Pulmo Aide. I have 2, One 5052 model that is 18 yrs
old and still works like a charm.

Good Luck..

That so totally stinks!!! We got a Mobilaire Invacare 50 psi compresser almost 3 years ago. It still works very well, and I like the fact that you can adjust the psi's for the recommended setting for each med.

whoops just turned it on by mistake instead of the devilbiss. Thought the darned thing was going to take off and fly around the room. I've never heard such a horrible noise before.

Brad, we also have an older devilbiss that's gotta be at least 18 years old and it works just great.

I just looked online for a mobilaire and am not ready to pull the trigger on one of those. The price -- which is silly as I just spent as much or more on some pans -- plus I like the compactness of the pari.

Liza,
We replace Zoe's all the time! It is crazy! As soon as they start to not push out the air good enough, Scott calls Pari directly, tells them it isn't working properly, they immediately send us out a new one overnight....they even provide a return postage paid label. They have never given us any problems with replacing hers. I think she is on her 6-8th one in about 2 years!!

Good luck!!
