Passing out from coughing or seizure anyone?

My husband has had these episodes in the past where it was diagnosed as cough syncope however until his admission in Feb. it was of no big concern. During that admission he could not cough without falling and huring himself. They ran test and at first said it was now seizures and put him on some seizure meds however it did not seem to work yet instead it made things worse, he started to hallucinate pretty bad! Upon his discharge they ran more tests and stated that things were inconclusive so they took him off the meds. Since his discharge he is still passing out or seizing. It is so scary for me and I am sure him. He went to another doctor at a different hospital and the tests that were run came back basically inconclusive. Now we are trying to deal with this on our own with no meds. He is tired of being a pin cushion and then not getting results, the docs always seem to think it it is just him that is having these issues, in fact during this last admission the doc said he was making thigs up even though they found him on the floor numerous times. I am at a loss on what to do and if this is CF related and how others have handled this or have been diagnosed with epilepsy or something else. I do not want to push him to get more testing since it may only push him away and he will not tell me when he has these episodes anymore. Even now he holds back and does not tell me all. His drivers license was being reviewed upon his last admission but the docs at the hospital reponded back to them with a letter stating he is aware before these episodes happen. This scared my husband thinking he may not be able to drive, just another thing he would have to deal with and not being normal. Because of this I am afraid of more doctors being involved. Has anyone else had any of these issues?

I'm wondering. Do these episodes happen while he is on TOBI? Something similar happened to me while on TOBI, so I stopped it. This was about 6 years ago.

I am an Epileptic. My first seizure took place within the first year of my CF diagnosis. We dont have any direct correlation between the two.

My seizures are grandmal & I dont know when they come on because I am always asleep. I do know that they have happaned when I awake because I feel like I got run over by a beer truck (hurting & hungover).

I dont have the issues like your husband, but is it possibly sugar related? Have they checked his sugars at all?

I am sorry you are going through this. It must be very scary for both of you.....
