peeing issues and diabetes

Hi everyone. Just wondering, i have a 5 year old with CF and recently i have noticed some changes in her going to the bathroom. For the past 6 months on and off it sometimes burns when she pees but all her cultures come back negative, and then just the past week she says she hasnt been able to pee, it wont come out. Now, the last culture she had was a clean sample and it came back with elevated protien and white blood cell count, i am just wondering if anyone can give me any input if they have been in the same situation? I know they are prone to diabetes but dont really know what i am looking at with it and how common it is for it to happen.. or other signs and symptons of it. We have another appointment in October, which is really far for all my questions! Thanks for reading !and sorry for hte long post

Uncontrolled Diabetes causes extreme thirst and excessive urination (the opposite of what you have described). Rather, it sounds more like a urinary tract infection, has she been checked for that?

The problem with something like cf is we always think of the cf things and forget the 'normal' things kids get who dont have cf <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Hope you get to the bottom of it, it doesnt sound like diabetes though (my son developed type 1 diabetes...not cfrd, so have experienced that).
