PELLET STOVES?

Ok, so I posted about the kerosene early and I'm so glad I did b/c obviously it's not the way to go with CF. But how about pellet stoves? Anybody have any reactions them? I never really questioned them, and assumed they'd be okay to use. Patty posted that the wood burning stoves bothered her - so I know that's out. Any other heating suggestions?

Calor gas? We had calor gas heaters when I was young. You could wheel them round the house, the gas was in a big blue tank. They still use them here in Scotland as I often see the delivery van with them on the back.

Only thing now is to figure out what this is called in the USA.

There was a similar discussion last year and some people were suggesting corn burning stoves and pellet stoves. I would think you would want something that has no smoke to it or is sealed to where 100% of the smoke goes outside. And I'm not sure if the pellets are really wood or not? Sorry, guess I'm not much help.
