Has anybody lived/or do live in Pennsylvania? After applying to about 15 different schools, I've choosen to transfer to Drexel [Philadelphia]. This means one huge transfer of all my medical information to Pennsylvania. Anybody ever been through this? Info, tips, recommendations? Anything is appreciated.

Another Jersey person here who goes to Philly (Hi Mary! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> ) -- there's a small CF clinic practically across the street from Drexel at Presbyterian Medical Center, it's at 39th and Market. It's run by Dr. Douglas Holsclaw, I've been with him for years and he's great.

I had to transfer all my medical info several years ago and it was pretty easy. I was still in high school, but my hospital in Cincinnati, OH just mailed everything to my center in Philly. If you are going to Drexel, you are definitely in the right place for hospitals. In addition to Presbyterian, there is also HUP (Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania). It was recently ranked the 13th best hospital in the country by US News. In terms of transfering your records, just let your old center know you are transfering and they should do the rest for you once you know what hospital. Don't stress out too much about it...let them do the work.
