My period is always on time every month, and has never been irregular from the time of when I turned 14. My period always lasts at least 6 days, and then dies down towards the 6th/7th...I got my period this Friday morning, and it is now tuesday, and its basically gone!? this has never happened to me before...whats wrong with me? I been having sex regularly with my boyfriend unprotected? could that alter it?

A million things could affect your period. New medications, pregnancy, stress, change in hormones, travel, etc.
Have any of these things happened?
If you've been having unprotected sex then you need to take a pregnancy test. When you are very early on in your pregnancy, it is possible, but unusual, to get something called implantation bleeding. Some women assume this is their period, but it only last a couple days as opposed to a normal period. Its caused by the embryo implanting itself onto the wall of the uterus.
This isn't a sex-ed course, but if you are having unprotected sex, then it should be no surprise that you may be pregnant. If you do not want to get pregnant, then look at your birth control options.

Only reason I'm not concerned with pregnancy is because I know it's hard for cf woman to get pregnant naturally. But nothing as happened like the things you listed to alter my period. That's why I'm worried. If it were implantation bleeding it wouldnt last 4 days and be heavy though correct?

Like saverferris said, I know plenty of women with cf that got pregnant quite easily (mysef included).
If you are past day 28 on your cycle, a pregnancy test should show accurately positive or negative. You should just do it, so that you know and can be prepared.

Angel didn't your transplant clinic tell you to use birth control post-tx? I know most CF centers are very firm on this for their post-tx patients.

If you're interested in getting pregnant, I'd suggest going over to the pregnancy board and starting to browse through old threads to get as much info as possible. Pregnancy and Cf is a big world, with alot of information to learn and alot of work. Its wonderful and for me, the greatest thing in my life. However, its only been successful bc of a tremendous amount of planning and hard work to ensure a healthy baby and healthy mama.
Best wishes

No offense but, this is an estimated 3rd time you've posted about the same exact issue. I'm not a medical proffesional but I was transplanted 5 years ago at one of the top centers in the nation. From their medical advise, they don't reccomemd pills with high estrogen but there are plently of other birth control options. In fact there is an active topic in the forums right now labeled "best birth control" Lots of the woman give various different options that they are using.

If you're not planning on getting pregnant and want to prevent yourself from worrying so much then, I suggest you to at least use condoms.

FYI-current research shows that woman post transplant are at high risk for rejection with in two years AFTER the baby is born. With lack of anti rejection medication and strict regimens to be followed, it takes a toll on yourself as well as the baby. In my personal opinion, it's not worth the risk. (speaking from a post transplant point of view) Please take care of yourself first.

I will second what amber (beautifulsoul) has said. I only came in here because this is about the 4th or 5th time on this subject because it's been in adults and in the transplant section. If you have a new related question use on of the threads you have already create. You can edit the first post in one of the other threads if the question is of similar nature and change the title as well.
