PFTs going down fast

You wouldn't happen to be in the desert would you? This is kinda what happened to my sister when she caught Valley Fever. (Parts of Cali, Nevada, Arizona and parts of Texas have Valley Fever) And your dr. sounds like mine. I've cultured mold a couple times but not enough to really do anything about it. Or so my Dr. told me. What about Asthma? Or is that what the Flovent is for? Sorry I'm not probably much of a help. I hope you guys get some answers soon!! Dr's with attitude totally piss me off. I'm so sorry he or she is being a jack ball to you. For what we pay for medical care we shouldn't have to take baggage from our Doctors. I definitely would look into switching to another center. Maybe a fresh set of eyes would do her good? Gosh I really wish I could help you more. I'm sorry. For what its worth were here for ya!

Hi Lamp, no we are in the Deep South, Birmingham, AL where humidity is king. The doc did put her on flovent for asthma. When the Cushing's happened she was taken off all asthma type med and we were told she did not have asthma because her pfts did not significantly rise after an albuterol treatment. (usually 3-5 points)
Hate to hear your doc is like ours. If it wasn't for our great nurse practioner I would have pulled my hair out by now.

Well you sound like an AWESOME mom. My mom was great at taking caring of us too. I can't imagine where I'd be at without such a great mom taking care of me all those years. Shelby's fortunate to have you as her advocate!! Hang in there! You moms do hard work and it doesn't go un-noticed ;0)

I dont see my doc until May or June to see if my Pft's are on their way up. I feel like they should be going up. I can def. breathe better than before starting the meds. Before the meds my PFTS where going down pretty fast.
