Although I recall the article was referring to tests done on mice, and we, of course, are not mice, I'm still wondering what other test results have been made.
Also, is the PharmaNAC going to be any different from any other meds using NAC?
I don't know what area (Europe, U.S.) I'm getting my NAC from, but it's coming from a Japanese pharmaceutical, and it's the inhaled stuff, not the oral stuff (though I'm sure the oral stuff doesn't give off that odd smell, and give you a woozy feeling sometimes)
I haven't done a FEV test in a while, but will probably ask for one next month or so. (Just an added note)

Fred, according to the study being done at Stanford, which I learned about at their education day earlier this year, only the fizzy dissolving NAC tablets are effective. I am getting mine from the same supplier that Stanford uses in their study; the supplier is in Canada.

I'm taking PharmaNAC from BioAdvantex in Canada twice daily. I started out 3x/day and reduced to twice a day to save some money. I had a friend who did the study at Stanford and during the study the patients took 900mg three times a day. But after the study was complete Standford only recommends 900mg twice daily to get the full benefit.

It's my understanding, the reason "fizzy tabs" PharmaNAC are so different from any other is the formula, delivery and packaging. Once GSH is exposed to room air/oxygen it is useless. It won't create glutathione in your lungs, therefore no benefit. That's the idea anyway. I will continue to order my PharmaNAC from BioAdvantex for then next year, I think if I buy a one year supply at a time, there is a discount. I've been taking it for nearly 4 weeks already. I got really ill this month, while on PharmaNAC, but not related to PharmaNAC (I caught a cold from the kids!) and my cough seemed to be very productive and never felt "stuck" like it usually does when my FEV1 drops hard and fast.
