the biggest thing I've noticed with NAC is the thinned out mucous, far easier to cough up. I also don't feel nearly as tight.
As far as dosing though I haven't a clue, it takes massive amounts to be harmful for adults, 12,000 mg doses, but I wouldn't want to guess what it would be for a child.
