PICC Dressing Changed... Now site hurts

I just had my PICC dressing changed this morning. Shortly after the nurse left the site started to sting. The nurse removed a blood scab near the insertion site (stuck to the skin and and the PICC) . It hurt when she removed it and it seems to hurt in the same location now that it is gone. Kinda of like a burning sensation (real sharp).

The site is NOT red or irritated. There is NO drainage. NO swelling.

Last week when she removed the dressing she left the bloody scab alone and the site had no pain or irritation.

Should I be concerned???

It sounds to me like it's probably just annoyed from being messed with. My PICC line sites often used to hurt a bit after dressing changes. If it continues, though, it wouldn't hurt to call. It's always better to err on the side of caution with central lines.
