My rule for sound tracks is that I don't listen to them unless I've seen the movies. Can the sound track for More be listened to without seeing the movie?

I guess crappy is kind of a strong word. Its definitely my least favorite song on that cd just because its so long and the rest of the cd is so short. Just seems like a space filler song but I guess its ok. I've never seen 'more' but will have to check it out now. Pink Floyd: The Wall was really good in an artsy sort of way even though the plot is nearly incomprehensible but syncing Dark Side of the Moon up to The Wizard of Oz is really where its at!

I actually don't really have a problem with their long songs. They have a lot of them.
What about Obscured by Clouds? Can that be listened to without seeing the movie it was recorded for? I forgot what movie it was.
Since I kept hearing random songs off The Wall I had to read the whole plot just to get them. It's getting easier now.

SeeEff: Wow! I have so much Pink Floyd that I can't recommend tracks. We'll be here all night. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0"> So I'll do it by album. My top favorite albums are The Wall, The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here and Animals. And if you would like to get into their earlier stuff too there's The Piper at the Gates of Dawn and A Saucerful of Secrets. Then there's their 80's and 90's albums: The Final Cut, A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell. And if you like their experimental stuff, there's More, Ummagumma, Meddle and Atom Heart Mother. If you want to start like I did, find the Album called Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd. I think that's what it's called. But that's the album that got me started on listening to their whole discography.
Ah David Bowie. The only song I have from him is Space Oddity. It takes me a while to get into some artists, so maybe I'll hear more of his stuff. I'm counting on classic rock radio here.
What other artists are you exploring besides David? I'm so interested.

In my exploring of Bowie - THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS album - 1972 was my favorite album. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.
Most of the other Bowie albums are very "out there" and some are even largely instrumentals only - which surprised me.

SeeEff: That's how it was with me too, but there was something about Pink Floyd that made me want to explore further. I have no idea what it was, they just stuck out. Once I finished the Echos album, I started listening to their discography in order, with some cheating here and there along the way. I still have four or five albums left.
Queen! I'm currently working on them right now. I heard the Greatest Hits and Classic Queen albums. I still have to do their discography. But I am really loving them. I'm also working on Led Zeppelin and The Beatles.
