I am so sorry that you are going through so much between your body freaking out and your husband being deployed.
I think that stress does cause a lot of physical problems. When I was the matron of honor in my sister's wedding, I starting getting pleurisy on the drive to Virginia and was pounding ibuprofen the whole weekend. Why that weekend? Well, I hate public speaking for one.
Can you get a massage? I know that they cost a fortune, but sometimes it is worth it. I find that when I am wound really really tight, when I go to a yoga class or get a massage (its been 2 yrs), I start to cry. I can usually hide it, but it is a release and healing.

Thanks for the replies everyone....

Oooo ahhhhh... a massage sounds nice. I've never gotten one before. Maybe I should treat myself with all that's going on.

Good morning,

I am sorry about what you're going through but stress DOES that to our health, no doubt about that. I have experienced setbacks in my overall health condition quite a few times in times of stress and, to be honest, it makes me feel positive because i know it's due to stress and, as soon as i manage to calm down, my health will be o.k. again. You'll see. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

You asked for examples, well, for instance, in these last few months, everytime i got really stressed (it happened twice) i would get a pain in my back that could even last a few weeks (one of them did)! As soon as i got my situation back to normal, the pain was gone and my health improved straight away, without having to resort to meds.

Hugs and be strong!

I think stress can do a lot more than we give it credit for.

Try and get some me time and pamper yourself.

hope you feel better soon X
