my daughter is seen at MGH, we've had a good experience there for many years now. The care is top notch, it is evident that the doctors strive to be ahead of the curve in many instances. I can't imagine wanting to change clinics. Nothing but A+ for MGH.

I swear that my entire family is germaphobic (even my six year old) and we go to Connecticut Children's Medical Hopsital in Hartford. I have had wonderful experiences there with the doctors and staff - they seem to be on top of things. We move a lot b/c we're military, and this is the third clinic we've been to, and I like the best so far. I think every facility has some issues, but I tend to probably think like you - If they can't keep the place at least clean, I'd be out of there! I know Worcester is about an hour from where we live, so you'd probably be looking at a two hour drive...

tracey, mom to Sydney (6) and Seth (2) both with CF - DF508

and now that they want her to be admitted they said she will have residents all night and most of the day except once a day the cf docs will come in once a day.</end quote></div>

Sounds like maybe your first hosiptal stay? Okay, just wanted to pass a tip along that took my wife and I a while to grasp when we were new to all this.

If you get admitted for IV's you are going to be there for 2 weeks or so and there mainly to get the medicine. You aren't going to get alot of attention/news/updates from the doctors because there won't be anything to really say. You're getting the medicine and being watched. So don't get frustated by the lack of updates. Although you should be seen daily.

That may sound funny, but when we were new parents overwhelmed with a very sick 5 month old who was in the hosiptal for treatments like that, the lack of substance daily from the doctors added to our frustation. When we finally settled down, we realized more of the situtation.
