I had an embolization and was told not to Vest, PT or Acapella for a few days. I was allowed to huff or do autogenic drainage. Both were very helpful. I recommend you work on huff coughing but it might be hard at first to control coughing fits. Keep with it and make yourself not "machine gun" cough. When you are temped just keep inhaling until you regain control and then keep huffing until the mucus just shakes right up into your mouth practically. I agree that doing nothing would be a bad idea. Good luck and if you want to chat about it through pm I could coach you a bit more or even over the phone. I swear it will make difference...not only in your current situation but in your cf progression in the future. Huff coughing is as critical as physical exercise. By the way, are you exercising? Walking and getting your lungs working lightly could only be good I would guess. Of course, take into consideration what your doctor is telling you though.
