POLL: Treatment consistency

We work really hard to get it all in, but sometimes it just doesn't happen. I'm dealing with 2.5 year old who throws the nebulizer across the room through the entire pulmozyme treatment and pulls the tubes out of the vest! UGH, I do my best but some treatments I get sick of my breathing in more than she does. Some days I just focus on keeping her entertained to do the vest and give in on the neb (just being honest).

I desperately want to impart the importance of her treatments, but I also don't want to punish her for resisting them.

We are 100% on the meds. I would say we are 99% on the CPT's. Since she was diagnosed 6 months ago we have only missed a max of 10 evenings of CPT's. If we do miss an evening then we will make it up the next morning or feel guilty about it for a week or so.

When I was a teen I was horrible at doing my meds. As I got a little older I got better at doing them. Since the Tx, I do absolutely everything that I am supposed to do except exercise every day. I did good on Friday though and took a 1.5 mile walk to the park, played with Brady there, and then the 1.5 mile walk back. Three miles in one day, that sounds good to me!!

I voted 99%

I always take my meds only forgot them twice since my transplant.

With this 99% I don't count doing nebs (that I still have now because of new lung issues). I don't do them every day. Simply because I hate the fact that I have to do them again, even when I don't have CF lungs anymore... I neb combivent (combination of Serevent and Salbutamol) and sometimes I only do my puffers cause I just want to be rebelious and want to live with the consequenses for that day. I won't do this if I was nebbing an antibiotic...
