I was just wondering if your doctor mentioned why you are waiting a month before doing a sweat test??? I agree the sooner the better if possible.

Good luck and i hope your little boy is feeling better soon! let us know.

Hi! I just had to go through the long road of tests.

Have they done a stool study on your son to see if he was digesting his fats and carbohydrates? or a pancreatic function test?

My son is 20 months and has been having tests since he was 2 months old. He was loosing weight even though he was eating constnantly!! They finally found out through stool studies and pancreatic function tests that he is pancreatic insufficient, so now he gets enzymes in his food. Because he was pancreatic insufficient, they did a sweat test which came back 41, borderline. I had to push and push the dr's!! Its insane how much they can procrastinate!!! One thing i learned, you gotta PUSH!!! Anyway, i FINALLY got them to do the full panel genetics test and it was NEGATIVE!!!! so there is hope. Everything was pointing to kaiden having CF. but he doesnt!

I would definately call and ask for the sweat test now so you dont have to wait and wonder for the next month!!
keep us updated!
((hugs))

I called this morning to see about having the test moved up and they are going to call me back . I also asked them about a stool study and they are going to work on that next visit. Thankyou all so much for your help and advice.

Just a little update they are admitting Colin to the childrens hospital in the morning due to the fact that he has quit eating all together so they are going to run a bunch of tests including the sweat test and give him a feeding tube. I will keep yall updated just as soon as I can. Again thank you all so much for your comments and prayers.

Sincerely,
Heather
