Hey everyone....we are asking for some prayers. Next Tuesday the 24th, we will be testing our little girl for CF. We are going crazy since we have found out when the test was going to be happening. We know everything will be just fine and that we will handle it good or bad. We should find out the results later that day with a phone call from my pulmonologist. We all know the power of prayer does wonders. Thanks so much!----Roger and Mari

Prayers your way. I do have to say though that if you will be receiving notification that day then you are sweat testing her. This is fine but you should also insist on genetic sequencing since she could have 2 mutations but CFTR functionality (at this young age) resulting in a negative sweat test. Just don't let anyone tell you that a negative sweat test is a negative cf test for her. If anything, a good doc should want to do further testing if the sweat test is negative in your situation. Keep in mind I don't know if you did extensive genetic testing on your dh. If dh was negative for over 1000 mutations then I'm not sure why they are even running the sweat test. Keep us posted. And good for you for testing before there's symptoms...there aren't symptoms are there?
