Yes, it'll make you HUNGRY and it'll make you gain weight. For me, that's a plus. Without it, I was wasting away losing weight. For you, sounds like that's not a good thing, since you don't want to gain any weight at the moment.<br><br>
It'll make your face poofy.. My neck and jaw got a bit swollen after starting prednisone. I didn't connect the two. I just kept thinking I was eating a bunch. Then I noticed that it was swelling , not so much weight gain around my face. <br><br>
I do have to say, since I cut back my dosage, I'm on 5 mg a day now instead of 10, the swollen is just about gone. <br><br>
I do have to say though: You will feel better on the drug. It makes you feel really good and gets your energy back. So for me, the swollen face and neck was worth it!

i was on pred for 2 weeks. i didn't notice a change in my appetite until maybe the last day. i *think* my face got a little fuller while on it. i did not gain any weight while on it as far as i know.

I gained a bit of weight because of an increased appetite and maybe some water weight. BUT MOST importantly, I gained 7% FEV1% between the day I started and two weeks after.
