WOW....I am shocked that this hasn't gotten bumped to the "off topic" section yet. Since it hasn't...I'll play...my vote goes to Obama.

I'm not sure which is best; it depends on your opinion of 'best'.

To over simply the party platform (not necessarily candidate) from history:

The Democratic party favors government support & intervention, such as mandatory healthcare, such as we see in Canada, Europe, etc. Not specifically their systems, but a government mandated/controlled system to assure everyone gets covered. But, has anyone see ANYTHING the government does well, under either party's leadership????

The Republican stance is that this is outside the scope of the Federal government as defined by the founders; and thus belongs in the hands of private business. It provides more options/choice, but carries the influnce of a commerical venture which for some of us obviously sucks.

Either way, I have to agree with Dana, that nobody is actually going to change much as we are too engrained (sp?) in where we are.

Honestly, I don't like either candidate; but overall I'm going to vote for experience rather than fresh; it may not be the 'right' answer, but it is the best I can find.

I suggest everyone give Obama's disability plan a strong read. It is very good.
