I take them whenever I am on antibiotics since I got C. diff. I need to start taking them more because I get thrush all the time...<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif" border="0">

For probiotics, I eat organic yogurt regularly. It has more variety of flora than regular yogurt. But I have a relatively mild form of CF and haven't been on antibiotics in a long time, so that might not be enough for most folks with CF. Regardless of how you get them, I believe probiotics do make a big difference.

take them every day esp while on abx. however-do not take them with abx. they can alter the effectiveness of abx. i space them out by a few hours.

Ha! I got the same type of reaction from our cf doc. He said "if it makes <i>you</i> feel better then by all means do it". <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I had read the suggestion on here, and it just makes sense to me, given what abx do. So yes DD is on Florajen, the one recommended to us by our pharmacist who we love and trust.

Ha! I got the same type of reaction from our cf doc. He said "if it makes <i>you</i> feel better then by all means do it". <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I had read the suggestion on here, and it just makes sense to me, given what abx do. So yes DD is on Florajen, the one recommended to us by our pharmacist who we love and trust.
