I'm not sure of which flora is better, but I take Culturelle. That is what my cf clinic nurse said they recommend. I can't really tell a difference when I am on it, but I usually try and take it when I am taking antibiotics. Like ehtansky21 said, it is expensive (about $24 for 30 days).

They actually charge me 10.99 for shipping to hawaii instead of the 4.99 for mainlanders, but I still get so many smokin deals. I make a $200 order every 3 months. I should try one day to see how much money I save through them!!!

My son 23 yrs old takes Culturele - the pharmacy said this is a good one. What he found was a decrease in gas and bloating. He was diagnosed with cdiff after having H1N1 last year. The heavy drugs stripped him of all good bacteria and he must constanly rebuild. He loves yogurt thank goodnes. Eats at least 20 containers a week. It has great levels of protien also.

My son has never really had GI issues. They just put him on Augmentin a couple of weeks ago and we were advised to take probiotics with it. We bought the Florastor for Kids (he is only 11 months old). It is $10 for 5 days! But, it works. He has not had any GI issues on Augmentin, which I'm sure you know is harsh.

I've been drinking home made kefir for 2 years. About 2 cups of kefir milk (whole milk or coconut milk) in my veggie/fruit smoothies.
