be careful about reading drug side effects. here is how that info is collected:
patients enrolled in the clinical trial are sat down and asked if they're feeling ANYTHING negative at all.
let's say you lifted something heavy yesterday, and today you go in for your clinical trial interview. they asked if anything, ANYTHING, is wrong, and you say your back is sore.
so guess what? that goes into the "side effects" section for the drug because it can't be ruled out as NOT drug related.
don't get me wrong - drugs have side effects. obviously. and many are directly from the drug. however, it's important to understand that this isn't black and white.
the best example is Allegra 30mg (pediatric dose). accidental injury is listed as a side effect.
what do 6 year old kids do? run around and bump into things and fall, etc etc etc. but when the mom's of the kids were asked if anything, ANYTHING, is wrong with their kid, of course they replied "accidental injury."
so just keep this in mind when reading side effect profiles.....
