For us we skip our local clinic; however, we still see the local CF doctors at their regular clinic during regular office hours. We just don't go to the 4-6 hour marathon appointments. And we do go to a cf clinic in the City about 250 miles away 2-4 times a year -- that's where our primary CF doctor is located.
Sometimes it's not easy to get another opinion or find another CF Clinic that's in close proximity to home. The local CF clinic just became accreditted this past year, prior to that our choices were a 200 mile drive to a small city to the west or the 250 mile trek to a larger city to the east.
