Pseudomonas Aeruginosa

I have CF and I am 18. I keep getting lung infections. I had a spit test and I have a bug called cocci and I was told that this is a tape of Pseudomonas A. I get sharp chest pain and shortness of breath allot so right now I am on Prensone. It has been helping somewhat but I still am getting sharp chest pain and my chest x-rays are normal. Does anyone eles have this issues?

Plus I am having issues with going poop and I have a ton of gas, mucus. But no poop. I go some but it is sooo hard. I was not taking my enzymes at night when I get up to have a snack. Could missing enzymes cause you to get pluged up? And not poop? Right now my tummy is so gasie that I con't even do my Vest treatment. Due to pain. Plus I am very swollen in the tummy.

From my personal experience, skipping enzymes causes my stools to be loose. When I do get plugged up, I cut back a little on the amount of enzymes I take until things "move" a little better. This may or may not be what your doctor would recommend, but it works for me.

Well I would talk to the doc about it. I sometimes have the problem. But thats besause i don't drink enough water. Also gas can make your stomach Swollen sometimes. I'm just thinking but, I think the gas is because your blocked up. you should call your doc, he will know what to do. I would gently massage your tummy. See my post called Stirring your own pot.
Be careful if you have pain but I think the pain can be gas. Always check with your Doctor.

i dont have cf and i dont know... alot about it.. but my daughter does.. and i know everytime her poop gets running and greasy and real stinky they increase her creon and her zantac.... ....... if she misses creon.. its HORRIBLE...... im up all night walking the floors and singing lullabys.. and she just farts all night.... the next morning she'll poop n it'll look like someone rubbed vegetable oil on her bottom..... but she takes colace to help her go.... shes been hospitalized for constipation... for a while she wasnt goin AT ALL without enemias and suppositories...... colace is great =) i dunno what they'll give ya for ur age tho...sissy is just 9 mos...... but ask ur doc about something.... arionna wont eat or ANYTHING when she cant poop and her belly gets all swollen too............ i dont have cf but even when I get constipated i get gassy...... so... i dunno? i hope this helped... i feel for ya.... i dont know how yall feel but from the way arionna cries when she cant go.. it must be awful... good luck.....
