Hi,

I've been reading some of the post, I was wondering if anyone knows if they had pseudomonas while there were babies. My 4 month old's culture just come back positive, and I was looking for a base line to compare.

thanks.<img src="i/expressions/brokenheart.gif" border="0">

Hi! I have twin girls, although they have not cultures pseudo yet one of my daughters cultured MRSA at about 4 months. We are really scared about it but their pulm dont seem to be to worried about it. I guess they just expect that they will get it sooner or later!

Good luck!

My 4 year old first cultured pseumononas when she was 4 months old. She cultured it off and on for the next 1 1/2 years and then didn't culture it again until recently.

How do you get cepacia? Meaning, you can get pseudo from water, grass, veggies ect., and you get MRSA from people. What exactly is cepacia??

Cepacia used to be called Pseudomonas Cepacia. Now it's Burkholderia (or something similar, I forget) Cepacia. You can get it from other people. You can also get it from rotten onions, I believe. I don't know where else, though.

So far is doesn't seem like it impacted her health at all. She is now on TOBI regularly (on one month, off one mont) but we just recently started that.
