My son is also quite small. Less than the 5th percentile for height and weight. He's almost 16 months old and he weighs 21 pounds. We were so excited when he broke the twenty pound mark! :) He has reflux and aspiration issues as well. Sounds like a lot of your children experience the same things.

Yes. This is very, very concerning- he NEEDS genetic testing.

Ask for, BY NAME, the "Ambry CF Amplified" test. This type of genetic testing is far superior than any of the 'panel' tests out there, and if you are going to get genetic testing, it's best to get the right one from the start.

It's the best, most comprehensive test out there and identifies both mutation in 98% of those with cf. For a child so strongly symptomatic as yours, getting insurance to cover it should not be an issue.
