I have been through several rounds of pulmonary rehab, am actually slated to start another program now that I am doing a bit better home and out of the hospital. I go to my local hospital as an outpatient, it is 7 miles from my home. They monitor my sats very closely, am given O2 if needed, my heart rate is watched...there have been times I have been put on the monitor to watch for arrhythmias. Not only that, they teach me how to breathe with exercise...there is actually a better way and more efficient way for those with lung problems to breathe. Those in the program are taught how to pace ourselves, something we sometimes forget to do in life. By the time the program is done, my endurance has increased and my overall function is a bit better so it is definitely worth doing.
Good luck with your program if you choose to do it, you will not regret doing it <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
